Charles H. Spiegel was born and raised in The Bronx. He attended high school and college in New York City and received his Doctorate of Law from Brooklyn Law School. Charles worked his way from high school through law school playing the piano, which he loves almost as much as the practice of law.

Charles has been practicing law in The Bronx for more than 40 years, first as a managing partner in the firm of Stillman & Spiegel. Now, together with his wife Lucille M. Barbato, he is a managing partner in the law firm of Spiegel & Barbato, LLP.

Charles is a pioneer in the area of No-Fault Law and specializes in personal injury cases. He is a member of The Bronx County Bar Association, The NYS Trial Lawyers Association, and The Lawyers Pilot Association. He is the proud father of 4 beautiful daughters and 8 fabulous grandchildren.

Lucille M. Barbato was born and raised in The Bronx. She started her career in law as a legal secretary in 1975 while in high school. She later became a paralegal and worked her way through college and law school.

She graduated from Pace School, receiving her Doctorate of Law in June of 1984. For the past 20 years, she has been active in the courts as a practicing attorney and trial lawyer specializing in personal injury cases.

Ms. Barbato has conducted trials resulting in many 6- and 7-figure settlements and verdicts. She is dedicated to the community and believes that all people deserve the representation of an attorney who is not only experienced, but concerned and compassionate as well.

Ms. Barbato has served on the Board of Directors and is a past president of The Bronx County Bar Association. In addition, she is a past chairperson of the Judiciary Screening Committee. She is also a member of NYS Trial Lawyers Association and Women's Bar Association and is married to Charles Spiegel.
Brian C. Mardon began working for Spiegel & Barbato, LLP as a law-student intern in 2004 after winning the Hon. Alexander M. Delle Cese Scholarship from the Bronx County Bar Association. He was a Dean's Scholarship recipient at New York University's Gallatin College, where he received his Bachelor of Arts. He received his Juris Doctor Law degree in 2005 from Hofstra University School of Law, where he received academic awards and was a merit scholarship recipient. After law school, Brian continued with the firm as our associate attorney.

Brian was raised in the Bronx and lives with his beautiful wife, 2 sons, and daughter. He worked his way through high school and college at a local store, which motivated him to stay close to his roots and serve the community by fighting for everyday people when they have been victimized, and counseling them when they need to know their rights.

Brian was a Lieutenant Governor in the American Bar Association during law school. He is currently a member of the Bronx County Bar Association, The New York State Bar Association, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He is a published author in the area of No-Fault Law and has had some of his trial verdicts published. When not in the office or the courtroom, Brian can be seen around the neighborhood playing basketball or being chased around by his children.

Stephan A. Iannacone began working for Spiegel & Barbato, LLP as an intern in 2011. He attended the University of Connecticut and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration and Management. Stephen attended Pace University School of Law where he graduated magna cum laude with a Juris Doctor in 2011. During his time at Pace Law School he received numerous merit scholarships and was the recipient of the Honorable James R. Caruso Scholarship. He was an Articles Editor for Pace Law Review and a member of the 2011 Animal Rights Moot Court Team. Stephen also took part in the Federal Judicial Honors Program in which he spent a semester clerking for the Honorable Lisa Margaret Smith at the United States District Court, Southern District of New York. He is also a published author in the Pace Law Review and New York Law Journal.

Stephen has been admitted to the New York and New Jersey State Bars as of February 2012 and is now an associate attorney with Spiegel & Barbato. In his spare time, Stephen enjoys painting and sketching, competing in triathlons, and watching his favorite baseball team the New York Yankees.
